I don't know about anyone else, but there is something so magical and satisfying about making something from scratch with your hands. I mean, cooking is one thing but building a piece of furniture is a whole other ball game. We originally wanted something to be similar to dining chairs since I have an outdoor dining table with a table top fireplace. I searched high and low for a good build plan and couldn't find anything I quite liked. Until I stumbled onto Ana White's blog. Here is a link to check it out:
It was everything I wanted in an outdoor chair. All of the crisp lines and able to switch the style of the entire chair by a simple paint job or a cushion swap. The best part, NO POCKET HOLES NEEDED! I love our new set of chairs. Step 3 and 4 on Ana White's website was probably the two steps that I recommend to see if you can get someone to help you with.
We purchased the seat cushion and back pillow from Target.

We did switch one part of this build plan and that is the side arms, we turned them inside out to create a slightly different look. This also then changed the measurement of only one piece which is the top of the back of the chair. It was originally 25 inches long but for us, it was 21 inches long.
Comment down below with your chairs! I cant wait to see them!
